So far everyone loves this stool. We keep it in the living room next to the couch and it gets used surprisingly often.

I have never had decent mobility and was really struggling after a dual hernia surgery with my right hip. After a week on this stool my right hip decided to release somehow and I’m not making the “old man noises” every time I sit down or stand up anymore. Ha

Great warm up and cool down addition.

Takes all the pressure off my pelvic floor. Has made it easier to maintain and hold the seated squat position without the stool. The spring is also super nice. Also works well with pelvic floor release tools!

Hunkerin stool fits neatly into my knee rehab program. With very cutting edge treatment I am managing to avoid a total knee replacement for my bone on bone knee. Rehab includes squats: starting with squatting onto the high arm of my sofa. Then a standard chair. Then to about a 90 degree knee angle without a chair and now to the Hunkerin stool. Once I master squats with this stool I’ll be ready to squat all the way down to the ground. Build quality is excellent and justifies the price. Customer service is excellent also!

I struggled putting it together, but I think it may have been my fault. I don't know. Either way it didn't matter, he took care of it and helped me immediately. The chair is great. I have been using it everyday. I love it.

A few weeks in and this is my new morning ritual. Coffee on my apt patio garden with some sun! I will also use it before my training. Especially on leg day. Dig it! Thank you for this tool. Best, Phil Strong

I struggled putting it together; could have been my fault. I'm not really sure, but I couldn't get the springs to seat in the groove. However, they squared me away almost immediately and even helped me out some. The customer service is spectacular. No worries, if you have a problem, just let him know. As for the stool, I'm sitting on it in my office at work, while I write this review. All of the pressure from the office chair on my back is gone. I'm actually more comfortable down here and my back feels much better. I guess the next logical product would be a hunkerin down desk so I can work down here. Thank you very much for all the help. I'm glad I bought this thing.

It’s been helping my posture and strengthening my quads, haven’t been able to properly squat in awhile, I’ve been sitting in a desk chair thats been messing my hips up. But I feel this fixing it, love my Hunkerin Stool man!

I've been hunkering down every day for 20-25 minutes and decompressing from my long nights of sitting in a security vehicle and I've never felt better! I was needing a decompression session and this has saved me money and Chiropractic services! Now I sit on it while watching TV and moving around on it until my shoulders and back relax and my hips and spine are right.

I really like the stool. It’s just that after 10,15,20 mins. Your rump starts to get sore. Too flat of a hard seat. Maybe with a slightly 3 corner concave design into the top piece, which would have to be a little thicker wood to allow for the concave, would help. But that’s up to you. It’s your stool. I know you have the new fitted pad, but maybe some people like me would just like the natural wood look. But all in all I really like the stool. Plus the concave would have to be tested. I love the natural wood one, just makes my rump sore eventually. Thanks again!

I’m 50 and I’m still active with lifting weights and playing recreational soccer. I’ve been using the stool to help with leg conditioning and mobility. I don’t need to do loaded ATG squats, but when doing squats, the stool is great. I used to box squats, but then wanted something more comfortable and used a medicine ball instead of a box to get more range of motion and a softer indicator once I reached the proper depth. The stool is has replaced the medicine ball. Getting the spring at the bottom is nice if I decide to add more weight. It helps getting out of the hole. I don’t lift for competitions or anything like that. So I don’t care about the spring assist. Technically I should be doing quarter squats for sports performance, but need the range of motion as I get older. Spring assisted squat, for me, is better. Using as an actual stool is great. I can also sit and do mobility stretches without needing to sit on the ground. I may need to find a bottom cover for the summer. My son plays football and practices are on natural grass. I don’t want to ruin the wooden base with wear and tear especially if the grass wet, muddy, or even rocky.

Love this thing! Takes a little getting used to when first sitting down. Have to aim for the middle at just the right pressure. Second nature after the 3d or 4th time. I use it to sit between sets when working out to keep my mobility. Great when rocking back and fourth / side to side. Simple but effective.

This is a great little stool. It's low enough and wobbly enough to provide for range of motion and movement in a safe and useful way. Two thumbs up on the stool. I didn't order the pad right away, but I will. You can use the stool without a pad, but I think it will be even better with one.

We love this stool! W've been working on our flexibility and this stool is a great tool that helps us to accomplish it. It works on our core too since the springs create movement while sitting. What a great invention!

Just what I needed. At 6’3” this works perfectly for me to get in some deep leg stretches. Will buy a backup for when I travel.

Kasey: I'm lovin' my Hunkerin' Stool. I'm a banged up 60-something with a history of a broken back and subsequent spinal fusion T9, 10 & 11 with the obligatory advancing osteoarthritis that one can expect following trauma, aging, etc. I also blew a knee skiing some years ago and went through ACL repair which talks to me now and again as well. I'm impressed at the relief the Hunkerin Stool provides in my back, pelvis, hips, knees and even feet and ankles. It's a brilliant little home therapy device that I now look forward to using 2 to 3 times every day. Thanks for following your heart on this one - you're making a difference. Zero dorsiflexion in ankles, long femur and very tight hips, I’ve never been able to spend time at the bottom of a squat. The hunkering stool has allowed me to spend time in the position allowing muscles to relax and really work on my mobility. Using while doom scrolling had unlocked another problem area I need to work on, my upper back/posture.

I use this every day! I work on a computer and have had hip and back pain from sitting on a chair for too long. I know switch between the Hunkerin Stool and standing. I don't have any more hip or back pain. It really stretches out my hips. I love this stool!

Up to 35 minutes a day. Immediately felt it in my hips. Looking forward to receiving the cushion. It should help me sit much longer by taking the pressure off the sit bones. TY.

I love my hunkerin stool! I’m a farmer and I use my stool at my weekend farmers market! It strengthens my back and fixes my posture while allowing me to relax a bit.

I honestly didn’t think I’d like The Hunkering Stool — it looked a little too unconventional at first — but I was totally wrong. It’s sturdy, well-made, and makes getting into a deep squat feel natural and relaxing. I use it for stretching, reading, or just taking a mindful break, and it’s done wonders for my posture and hip mobility. Even my 80-year-old mom tried it and loved it! She said it was easier to use than she expected. Highly recommend to anyone curious about healthier, more natural sitting.

When I first saw this I thought that no assistance to squatting was needed. I myself was practicing a resting squat and getting pretty good at it. I even commented on it once because I had been doing the resting squat unassisted. But I became intrigued by its design and functionality and thought I would have to give this thing a try. And I did. Happy that I did. I really like it though I’m still trying to achieve and master non assisted. But this definitely helps and is nice to be able to squat knowing there is support. Been thinking about buying another. Good job! And thanks. Its Great!.

This thing is amazing. If I want to sit and watch TV, I have to do it on the hunkering stool. Within a week I was able to squat all the way down without pain in my daily life

I was really skeptical on this before I pulled the trigger but after getting it I have never felt so much relief from head to toe, literally. Having a herniated cervical disc and fractured thoracic for 11 years and currently recovering from an ACL reconstruction I get so much relief in just a few minutes it's unreal. My partner at work suffers from sciatica pain and within minutes of sitting he was the most pain free he has been in years and plans to purchase his own soon. I keep this in my work vehicle so I can fix myself throughout the day and couldn't imagine going another day without it.

After many years in the army, running, jumping out of airplanes, overseas tours and everything in between... I live with pain, and have many tools to deal with it. The Hunkering stool just became one of my go to tools. Now praticing Tai Chi, yoga, and barefoot running.. I know I have a weak core and bad knees. Not a great combination. Just in the two weeks I've been using this stool, I've noticed how much flexible I am during the day, or yoga or whatever I'm doing. I can't wait to buy another for work. Thanks for inventing such a great tool Kasey! Sincerely Daniel
